Preparing a Banana Detox Smoothie.

1. Peel and slice the banana. For the smoothie, you’ll need 1 large banana (150 g). Remove the peel, and use a sharp knife to cut the banana into small chunks.


2. Freeze the banana for a couple of hours. Place the chopped banana in a freezer-safe bag. Toss the bag in the freezer, and allow the banana to chill until solid, which should take about 2 hours.


3. Blend all of the ingredients in a blender. Once the banana is frozen, add it to the pitcher of a blender along with 1 cup (155 g) of frozen berries, 1 cup (225 g) of organic spinach or kale, 1 tablespoon (6 ½ g) of flaxseed meal, and 1 cup (237 ml) of fruit juice. Process the mixture until it is completely blended and smooth, which should take about 20 seconds.


4. Pour the smoothie into glasses and enjoy. The recipes makes two servings. When the smoothie has reached the right consistency, divide it between two glasses and drink right away.
